Celebrating a grand opening complimented by the debut of a second collaboration with legendary artist KAWS
Hong Kong, 26 October 2022 - Following the launch of Hong Kong's first Concept Store in K11 Art Mall in December 2021, The North Face is proud to open their second, marking a new presence in the New Territories. Spanning over 2,000 square feet, the new Shatin Concept Store offers a one-stop shopping experience ranging from The North Face’s outdoor performance wear to their lifestyle Urban Exploration collection, enabling shoppers to access gear for exploration from the mountains to the city streets. The latest Concept Store also incorporates innovative digital LED walls and local design elements for an enhanced shopping experience.
Located in New Town Plaza at the heart of Shatin, the Concept Store sees large LED walls designed to create an immersive experience for guests whilst showcasing the products in a dynamic way, bringing a bolt of energy from the outdoors into the space. The interior rock-wall with the brand motto "Never Stop Exploring" printed echoes the Concept Store's theme of outdoor elements and evokes every urban explorers' dream to start their outdoor adventure! Nestled within the store is a camping themed leisure area with camping chairs made of sustainable materials, and - as a tribute to Hong Kong's landmark in the New Territories - a table featuring the contour lines of the iconic Lion Rock, serving as a space for explorers to exchange adventure stories and explore hidden gems in the city in the spirit of "never stop exploring"!
Coinciding with the new store opening, The North Face debuts its second collaboration with legendary artist KAWS . The North Face XX KAWS Collection features the artist's signature abstract patterns—continuing the theme of perception and visibility—with new, tonal color expression and texture through iconic styles from The North Face Expedition System. The collection includes footwear and a variety of The North Face's classic men's and women's styles, including the '95 DENALI JACKET, '94 HIMALAYAN PARKA, '96 NUPTSE JACKET, BASECAMP DUFFEL etc. Pieces from the Collection are marked with the signature "XX" of KAWS, evolving the brand's classic designs into new artistic dimensions. The Collection is available exclusively at The North Face Hong Kong's new Shatin Concept Store from 4pm on October 26. Items exclusive to The North Face Shatin Concept Store include the '94 HIMALAYAN PARKA and L/S TEE.
Visitors at The new Shatin Concept Store will also see The North Face's latest "Winter Trilogy" series. Featuring the SUMMIT SERIES™ layering system which combines the brand's pioneering technology with innovative designs, the series provides the ultimate support and protection for explorers as they venture out and face different harsh environments.
