Equipped with new and improved Vectiv 2.0 technology, the collection enables runners of all levels to face varying outdoor terrains with ease. From light mountain trails to rigorous race tracks, the new Own The Trail series invites explorers to experience Mother Nature While challenging their limits and creating extraordinary expeditions.

New and Improved Technology
The harder the climb, the better the view. The new 2023 Vectiv Own The Trail series is a continuation of last season's Built For The Trail series, drawing design inspiration from rally cars and further enhancing forward propulsion, grip and breathability, providing comprehensive support for runners to unleash their potential.
The North Face SUMMIT VECTIV PRO is equipped with a full sole 3D carbon fibre support plate, providing even more protection compared with its predecessor to enhance wearers' stability. The 10-millimetre curved toe cap design, which has been tested by professional trail runners from all over the world, provides strong forward propulsion when exploring the mountains. The highly cushioned midsole's foam material, featuring a high rebound effect to achieve ultra-high traction, effectively converts impact into power and reduces energy consumption. With the breathable and durable AIR MESH material, runners can endure and stay dry in any weather conditions.
The super lightweight SUMMIT VECTIV SKY can significantly reduce the burden to leg muscles while running, especially for long-distance races. To ensure comfort and a rebound effect of the front forefoot, a responsive foam material is embedded into the vamp to provide runners optimum support on gravel and slopes.
Conquering the Mountaintop
High performance and high function are equally important when it comes to coping with ever-changing weather conditions. The new SUMMIT Series™ Outdoor Exploration Set offers the next level of functionality, protection and comfort, making it the best option for outdoor enthusiasts. The new SUMMIT Superior Futurelight Jacket features a FUTURELIGHT™ 3L shell and DWR water-repellent treatment that is breathable and waterproof at the same time. An inner lining is also inserted in the jacket to minimise friction between the neck and the zipper. The SUMMIT Superior Wind Jacket is improved with laser-cut micro air vents on the back, enhancing its breathability while allowing sweat to release, and the use of a semi-locking zip effectively holds zippers in place during any high-performance journey.
To equip hikers and trail runners for long-distance races, the SUMMIT High Trail Run T-Shirt uses unique FlashDry-Pro™ materials, providing long-lasting breathability and excellent thermal insulation while ensuring comfort even during high-intensity training. The SUMMIT Pacesetter Run Short features the same technology, combined with a split design on both sides of the shorts and a quick-drying function that give explorers functionality and comfort at the same time.
In conjunction with the launch of the new SUMMIT SERIES™, the highly anticipated The North Face 100 2023 returns on 11 March in Tai Mei Tuk.
